If you are planting 50-19 make sure your K levels are high enough. Plant it on a field with a weak K test and you'll know why. This might be my guess on the 60 mph wind case. Maybe not though.
I'd steer clear of the 50-44 unless you have a perfect field. No too wet, not too dry, good fertility and pray for perfect weather. 50-44 is VERY finicky. You'll either love it or hate it.
52-43 is a pretty good hybrid. Compare it to the 50-19 and it looses most of it's shine. The 19 dries down quite a bit better than the 44.
I'd take 52-40 anyday over the 52-43. My 51-39 always out yielded the 52-40 though. | |
