Wayne County IL | I'm entering my 5th year of selling seed. It's not as easy as they make it seem. Make sure you can count on your DSM as well as the companies behind you. I switched company last year which isn't the best look but I explained to all of my guys why I was doing what I was doing. Only had 2 guys not go with me and picked up several new guys I wasn't allowed to sell to before. Last year was my best year so far and have several new lead that look promising. I'm not a super dealer but slow growth is good growth and I love all the guys I deal with. My home farm is super understanding that I may have to be gone a lot and may have to stop to go help someone else in a pinch. Good agronomy advice is a must. Good luck but look to 3 to 5 years to get established and start to see some of the things you do really start to see your pay off. Good luck. | |
