C IL | Ear weights here on early corn averaging 9.6 to 11.65oz at 19-22% moisture. 8.05 to 9.8oz wet grain. 35k-ish pops. Ears did not look all that big and there are up to 10% aborted kernels that did not fill. Very surprised.
I did not pull the ears myself so I am not confident they are a representative sample. If they are we are in for a long harvest and lots of lines.
Ears on later corn look smaller but not dry enough yet to use ear weight method. | |
