Renting a farm on the shares with the land lord is a way to have a "Flex lease" that renews yearly and resets the rent.


If you were renting my land on a 50/50 crop share, you and I would split the cost of the seed, chemicals, fertilizer, and crop insurance. And you would provide all the labor and equipment to do the work.

Then at harvest when you deliver and sell the crop you sell in your name and mine 50/50
