NW Ohio | I would be more inclined to spotlight the cover crop rather then chems. See it all over this year in our area of operations.
Have a producer around here that runs 100% cereal rye as cover, only gly/liberty for chems and he was hit harder then I would of liked to see this year.
But again this is the eye test only, no pod counts, just height only.
I wouldn't rule chemicals out, but if your speaker covers, cover crops. I would guess he wouldn't want to be bashing them, and would rather point fingers elsewhere.
