When you get south of I64 especially in the big wheat counties it is not rare for DC beans to be competitive with 1st crops. Doesn't happen all the time, but when you look at a year with good rains in August and September the DC in those areas are always very good, as long as they avoid the frost. Wheat acres outside those areas has all but dried up.
