Subject: RE: lower protein levels

NE South Dakota
Mike,

I know clark had quite the weather this year, but so did most of the places to the north and northwest. There were plenty of guys that had high yields and low protein, but that certainly was not the case for everyone. Saw some 70 bushel wheat with pro up into the 17s. Also saw 90 bushel wheat with only 11-12 pro, but also some 90 bu that was 14. Mother nature plays a big role that we cannot do anything about, but management certainly played a latge role for guys with high protein. High CO2 levels could have been an issue, but that certainly is not a trump card answer as there were guys with high protein as well.
