This particular plant would never have made it into the combine, most of the branches had fallen to the ground under there own weight and were only hanging on the main stem by a thread. The picture doesn't do it justice, I just hadn't seen anything like that before. This is a 93B82 conventional Soybean, I think they came out around 1996.
