Morris, IL | Craig with the wet June we had last year you can imagine we had places in corn and beans flooded out that went to seed as i'm sure you did. We stalk chopped them, strip tilled some back to corn, sprayed our normal Volley ATZ and had basically spotless fields, typically velvet leaf is our first to break the Volley and RU easily controls it. Chemical is way more important then tillage. Now beans was another story, Authority XL didn't hold this year, not sure what to do another year. Like to find the Volley ATZ for soybeans, cheap and flat out works but i haven't. If it very rainy the XL works great, but when dry not so much. | |
