killing frost in 1974 left us with a 40/40/40 crop

Guessing you weren't very close to black layer were you? At 38% I'm dang near black layered right? So damage shouldn't be to bad if we did get a killing frost?

If you get a killing frost, that's it no more dry down normally, the 38% is as dry as it gets in the field.

I remember the 1974 crop and "mcfarm" is right, it was 40% moisture, 40# TW, and 40 bu/acre.

That said, I doubt 32 degrees and a 10-15 mph wind would be a killing frost.

Whatever happens, good luck.
