Depends on the tractor. I'm more used to 400 plus hp so many of them may have max hp at 1900 rpm so no use to go higher as it will only be producing less hp. We run steep hills and just leave it at 1900 rpm on our air drill because it will pull the next gear at that point but won't pull more rpm.
