Chebanse, IL..... | Boy, this is getting close to home. I thought SB rust wasn't supposed to "leapfrog" up the country? This is from IFB website: Soy Rust Found in West Central Indiana Wednesday, October 25, 2006
The northernmost discovery of soybean rust this season is being reported in Tippecanoe County, Indiana -- the home of Purdue University. USDA's Soybean Rust website reports that one leaf from a sample of seventy-seven, collected Oct 22, had one sporulating pustule. Previous rust finds, reported last week, were all in southwest Indiana (Knox, Posey, Warrick, and Vanderburgh Counties). So far, the northernmost soy rust find in Illinois is in Jefferson County, near Mt. Vernon. USDA Soybean Rust website |
