If Bayer buys Monsanto, I'd expect more Liberty Link maybe in stacks. Remember who is buying who.
As for the young farmer, Roundup Ready sure made it easier to cover more acres--at least for a while. Many of the younger farmers do have a relatively steep learning curve as we move to a more "conventional" system for weed control where weed size is more critical.
I do believe that Monsanto's rejuvenation of the seed business, breeding and technologies have led in part to better times. At least that and crop revenue insurance! | |
