I don't let this tractor set out. Number of times it's been left outside over night I can count on one hand. Neighbors leave stuff sit out along road all the time. If I tried that something would be smashed stolen tampered with for sure. Had trouble even leaving stuff in a barn at another isolated location (broken windshield) so ended up tearing all those buildings down.

I guess I was more concerned with short cable runs and being able to see and monitor all connections rather than having the disconnect hidden from view.

Can definitely see your points though for machines that are left in remote locations with a removable disconnect key and hidden from view.
