I will be planting some. We are always seem to be drier than many around us, so at least there is a chance at a nice yield with winter wheat. And after the durum situation this year, i don't need any extra acres of durum instead of winter wheat. Spreading out the work load is a big help, too.
I am now thinking of putting 600 acres in just in case something down south goes bad and the wwheat market kicks up some. If sp wht or beans look better next spring I can spray out the w wheat and replant something else. Always nice to have some acres done and out of the way.
Shiney farmer what was your durum levels of vom? We got lucky and planted durum towards 30th of may and had less than 1ppm and got it all off before this rain. Hope we get rewarded for it.
