Ontario | was that Glencoe farm the one with like 10 huge bins? it's been on the market for a bit and apparently the coop there used some of those bins so they weren't too happy about that. still tho that's a sale not someone expanding by knocking on every door they can find offering higher rent.
i really only know much of what happens in about a 15-20km radius around me and i really only know of one farm that is constantly expanding but it's mostly been through buying and not renting. quite a bit actually pops on the market for sale around here as many older farmers are starting to pass or be moved into retirement homes. most of their kids took off to the city and don't want anything to do with farming so they basically sit around waiting for their chance to sell the land. | |
