Michigan - Saginaw County | The one comment about the litany of problems and 'needing' the money is enlightening about the mind set of non farmer landlords.
The fact that she "needs" the money has nothing to do with the reality that there is an upper limit to what farmers will pay with grain prices collapsing.
The alcoholic "needs" that morning drink but if he has no money the bar tender will just shrug.
Of course neither she nor the drunk recognize reality.
If her land rent is at the upper limit for that ground, she will have to come down to rent it out next year, or put it up for sale.
