Subject: Elevation Compensation System for GPS Leveling

Brisbane, Australia
Hi guys, its been many years since I've visited here. Have spent the past half dozen years developing and building a new generation of dirt buckets but won't promote them here.......... yet!

As part of that project I've kept a passion for moving dirt and have continued to be frustrated by the lack of reliability of the GPS elevation solution, feedback from bucket owners and old clients.

Sooooo, we have come up with a 'simple' system to compensate for the height changes that randomly occur throughout the day. We are now into the second round of hardware trials and will soon have a release system for sale. This new system holds the elevation solution steady so that the grader/pan/blade/scraper or whatever you are using runs on the same elevation offset value all day - no need to be on the up or down offset switch anymore. We have trialed it in areas where the normal GPS solution (GNSS) is unusable for leveling for sometimes 4 - 5 hours of the day and with this system controlling the Base Station, this machine could keep operating. We ran it in the heat of the Imperial Valley and had next to no elevation change through the trials.

You can view a more detailed explanation of this system on our Facebook page - TOOMEY EARTHMOVERS - (there, thats the only promotion).... but i'm confident you'll find it will be a real game changer when it comes to how stable your GPS solution can be. This is something that I think will change the way leveling is done into the future.

Roger
