Macon, IL | I have never bought a piece of new equipment-probably never will be able to afford any. So resale really doesn't come into play.
I figure if I pay more for something used because of brand X or model Y I or pay less when I purchase it that will come out in the end when I sell it. I base my decisions 50% on dealer/parts support and how it will work for my operation and 50% on if I think I found a "deal" pricewise.
I would rather have green paint from a dealer perspective, but when looking for my smaller tractor they were just too much $ for the few hours I put on, found a tractor of a different color selling at what I thought was below market value so I went that way. Won't resell as well but didn't pay as much to begin with.
