Subject: RE: knotter problem and remedies

I am having the same problem with my 275 NH. One side tyes perfect and the other side will tye one out of five times. Haven't looked at it since last year. I think my brass rollers have some flat spots in them. How important are they to be perfectly round. I think if I remember I couldn't get it perfectly timed right also. Could the drive chain have jumped a cog on the drive sprocket? In order to diagnose the problem do you start turning by hand with no twine in it and no hay or do you have to have the twine threaded in the needles? I still think some of my problem was with the twine disc but not sure.
