Check the springs in the hay dogs that hold the bale while the plunger retracts. That was the main problem with ours pulling the knot apart. Also switched from 130lb plastic twine to 170lb plastic twine. What part of the world are you in? There is an Amish guy in Marshall, IN who is really good on knotters.
