S.C. Minn | I am quite sure that model year is hydraulic one direction and a spring the other. This winter when you put it away store the corn head so next fall the hydraulic direction is used first.
I would take the gathering chains off ( with the tool that came with the head ) and then take the 3 nuts off that hold the stripper plates on the head and clean that all out underneath. It is easy and things will work much better.
