Strasburg North Dakota | We recently purchased a 2009 8 row 30in geringhoff rota disc. We have never had a geringhoff before so dont know anything about them. We`ve always had Case IH corn heads and only have 1 with hyd deck plates which is a 2208. I hooked it up to the combine today to see how it ran. When i pushed the reel for and aft switch on the combine the deck plates didn`t move like they do with our 2208. After I examined it closer I noticed there is only one hose going to the hyd cylinder for the deck plates. I`m not sure how that can work and there is some sort of potentiometer attached to the cylinder. So how do they work are they just froze or do they work on a different principle from what we are used to? Sorry for the long post we are pretty experienced when it comes to gerinhoffs. Thanks | |
