Pilot Grove, Missouri | I had the same problem with uncleaned cereal rye a couple years ago. Last year I bought a Clipper 2B at a farm auction. Spent a couple days fixing up a couple 4" augers. And cleaned the rye I saved for my own use in an afternoon. This year I cleaned about 450 bushels for myself and a couple hundred for a neighbor. The Clipper cost me 60 bucks and the augers were left over from the old cattle feeding setup that is no longer used. If running the cleaned seed into a wagon I could get close to 100 bu. per hour. I had to put some into bulk seed bags and that slows things down considerably. Patrick | |
