Leesburg, Ohio | It may be a one time investment, but it is also a twice per year (or more) labor requirement. We invested in a building, a stack cruiser and a grapple so we would not have to handle bales by hand. Why would I handle pallets twice to store and load out bales when I can do it all without ever touching a pallet, and never lose a bale? Makes no sense at all.
And in the event that we put bales in the barn short term, and load out during the season, that means we would have to handle pallets 2 times for each time we store and load out...can't run over top of pallets with loader and grapple when loading out.
If it works for you, and you want the excercise, knock yourself out!
