Northern Ohio Grain | Not disagreeing, there are some cheaper liquid options. I was just using the information I had at hand from the one last remaining customer that I have that still buys AMS Xtra in jugs. Every other customer has switched to dry. I've had 3 different brands of dry over the last few years and have not had a problem. At home with the Cleanload eductor it has been real easy, but even at work with the older style inductor we havent had mixing issues. We started pre treating the water after we fill the trailer, running the dry thru the inductor back into the tank. If you back fill the inductor with water, dump a bag in, suck the inductor down, all the ams is gone.
And it would depend on what ur coop is selling the dry for. At $1 difference, doesnt sound like a bad deal. Using your number from your earlier post you are around the 8.5#/100 with the liquid. My example was using 17# so would only be couple dollar difference using 8.5#. And then start comparing a high dollar dry like Array to liquid and it starts to become a wash. | |
