Subject: RE: Swathing Navy Beans

Arva, Ontario

Dave,

A windrow of beans on the ground, regardless of whether they were put there with a swather or a puller is the riskiest time in the life of a navy crop.

If you have a few fields with flax, perhaps swath them. If there is any way you can make a desiccation work, skip the swather.

Ken
