We use asphalt on the floor of our hay shed. It works great, but if there is moisture on the floor when you stack the bales in, such a wet tires, it will mold from that. You aren't that far away from me, I would recommend Most Paving locally and they have done other hay sheds. It works great. Make sure you only use the bottom layer of asphalt not the top layer and you do not want to seal it.
