I believe the others are wrong and agent is right. I farm pieces of 2 quarters in another county. Bulk of my land in different county. The lesser acreage is not eligible for enterprise units. Total farm acres in separate county is around 180 acres.
MPCI is by crop by county.
Unit structure is crop by county by section.
Essentially you only need 20 acres in two different sections(40 total) in a county to qualify for EU. Same crop on each field, of course.
