1) Carryover risk to subsequent crop(s)
2) Field conditions (i.e. residue, clods, corn stubble) often make even the best pre's only 80% effective.
3) Roughly costs $200 million to develop and register a new a.i. with this current EPA.
4) This EPA shuns any a.i. with a long half-life. We need that for longer residual, but EPA will shoot it down quick because of "Environmental Fate".
