Yes, loopers aka green cloverworms. You don't have very many if that's all that came out of one plant. Soybeans grow far more leaf area than they need for the yields you get in north-central KS, even on a wet year. Your middle leaves are intact, just the upper leaves look bad. There may not be any yield loss, and in any event, it's too late to spray.

SMH. Soybean and cabbage loopers are known by another name and more importantly, control measures are completely different depending on the worm species. Green cloverworm, VBC, armyworms, and corn earworm are all different and their profitability of management is completely different.
Research before you post. Depending on your yield potential, land rent, and cost of control as well your application cost it's a judgement call. But please don't confuse loopers from other worms. Loopers are a whole different animal and cheap generic pyrethroids will likely not only leave them untouched, but it could flare the loopers later down the road.
