East Central South Dakota
I hate to question the word of a follow NAT'er, but are you sure........double check your numbers ? ?
I don't see how anyone could do that bad, if they tried to do bad.

If it is accurate, make them pay up at the processors to keep the grinders going. Agriculture could learn a whole lot from the left leaning soccer moms, on how to economic boycott and get media attention. Best way to get corporate America to change their behavior is quit buying the crap they sell. Accidentally jack knife a few dozen semi-trailers in front of a processor when they have a push on. We ( as an industry ) just don't possess this kind of behavior mindset in our world of being an agricltural producer------ maybe it is a good thing. A whole production segment of an industry willing to live at the poverty level for 20 years to have 10 good years in a thirty year cycle.

We will loose a lot of producers in the next five years and those farms will be consolidated into bigger units. Maybe some day if the number of farmers is small enough and acres controlled large enough, we can throw our weight around a little more-------wishful thinking, but hope can be a good thing in times like today.
