A group of growers tried to get a 2,4-D ban implemented here this summer but the county judge and commissioners told them they didn't think the county should be in the business of regulating chemicals. For my part I haven't sprayed 2,4-D after April 30 in 10 years but I've sprayed thousands and thousands of acres of Clarity or generics right next to cotton fields and have yet to have a drift incident. It seems to me a little common sense and prudence goes a long way in this kind of situation. | |
