West Texas

Wind? What wind? You mean the wind's been blowing? LOL

I'm not sure what the official recorded highest gust is for the season but the front that blew thru on a Monday 3 weeks ago gave us 80 mph winds and visibility was down to less then 1/8 of a mile.
The ones that's came thru since then haven't been that bad although it has got up to 60 mph several times now.

Dusty windmill

And no, that is not fog or any kind of moisture and it ain't smoke either. lol

Most of our stuff was tied down pretty good before last Friday. We lost some ground then. It's a sand hill of about 60 acres that was in dryland cotton. Not enough stalk to hold it. We had pulled the beds up and planted wheat but it was too dry to hold with the relentles winds.

Turn rows are starting to let go too now, wheat is dying on them from it being so dry.
