central - east central Minnesota -

If you are not traveling through Burnsville, Bloomington and Eden Prairie (35w & 494 city traffic) during the rush hour (6am - 8:30am & 3:30 pm - 6pm) - traffic isn't a problem. It's not as senic as Tom's route, but it's faster and maybe you want to bring the family and see that great MOA (mall of america in Bloomington off 494 & 77).

Anyway that route would be 35 north to 494 west to 212 west (212 is a nice new road most of the way to NYA). It would be quicker due to faster speeds and no towns to slow through. If snow falls on that day, then I'd avoid the city route all together. Don't forget to stop at Cabela's in owatonna . . . . Good luck.
