Subject: Dry Fertilizer In-Furrow ??? Jakebird? Others?

NW Iowa
I'm running a C-IH 900 planter set up on 20" rows. I also have a small Hiniker air cart. Most of my fertilizer goes down as hog manure. But I need to spike both my P & K a little. I did a search on In-furrow fertilization and found some info, mostly on people planning to try it last spring. It looked like Jakebird was going to try exactly what I'm thinking of doing with about the same equipment. Comments? Experiences? I'd like to put down about 80#/A of roughly an 11-28-27 dry blend for both the corn and the beans. Will that much cause problems with germination? It that's too much, how much is safe? Thanks in advance and Happy New Year everybody.
