NE SD | 270 is supposed to take 540/hr at 5 pt removal dumping hot. When corn was 27-30% I figure it was putting out about 250-300/hr. Last yr when corn was coming out of field at 18-20% I set the flow at 100% and 220 degrees heat and could not catch it if I let it go all night. I paid like 25000 just for the dryer a couple yrs ago. Probably much higher now.
The dealer told me the 270 is for a 50,000bu to 100,000 bu/yr farmer and on a wet yr like this one I can see where he is right. The dryer was somewhat of a bottleneck this yr but I did put through a lot more bushels that this. | |
