We have that exact crimper. Have used it for a couple of years. Works great. Probably made in China...but it still works great. You can crimp the fittings so they won't ever loosen. The little dies are clearly marked by wire size.

We get out battery ends from Waytek. We also use their HD shrink insulation & cover the crimp when we're done. Their covering comes in both red & black.

Some here mention soldering ends on the cable. Waytek also sells ends w/the proper solder already in them. You just slide them on & heat. You could crimp them first, then melt the solder.
