southern MN | The regular P2 you can watch it fly around, hope you a glee the camera right to see what you were trying to film, land it, put the chip in a computer and see what you got. It flys far enough you lose sight of it, so not really a problem on distance.
Upgraded P2 will have a third party monitor and transmitter so you can see what you are filming as you go. Most of these video links have shorter distances. You need the gimble to get good pics, does it come with the add on gimble?
The P3 links to a good phon or tablet for viewing what you are shooting, and is just less fuss, works better. The hassle with a P3 is getting every serperate board and OS all on the upgrades that work with each other.
As mentioned, the P3 camera is better, but dedicated. The GoPro is more than good enough and can do more different stuff than just the drone.
If you set in front of me a P3 and a P2 with add on video (no camera) for the same price, I would take the P3.
