Subject: Drone deploy vs the weather. Something to be aware of

Dwight IL
Yesterday I flew 93 ac of corn at 350' with drone deploy. When I started the field, it was nicely overcast and was perfect to conditions for flying. (no big gaps of clouds and open areas for sun to peek through which can wreak havoc on crop imagery via a drone). I started this field on the west (left) side of this image, and the flight plan brought it to the east (Right) side of the image. After the first few passes across the field, the overcast clouds and haze lifted and it was sunny for the remainder of the flight. While I knew this would throw off the image, I didnt expect it to be this dramatic.

For reference, there is a 36 hybrid plot on the top right portion of the field. The green stripe (N-S) across the field is where an area was missed by the applicator for preplant N.

My point here is to be sure your flight will be flown under the same relatively consistent sun or overcast situations to preserve quality across the entire field.
