Subject: Re: hauling a backhoe

Somerville, Indiana
Backhoe is heavy and clumsy to haul compared to a farm tractor. We didn't feel safe pulling a tag trailer with a single axle dump truck as the tail wagged the dog. Tandem dump truck with tag trailer is cheapest, safe, dependable, everyday rig. Tandem lowboy behind a tandem tractor isn't overkill.
