| I've experimented with synthetic in my VW Golf. I've concluded Motorcraft synthetic blend treats the engine better and stays in better, but needs a 5000 mile change interval instead of the 10K interval VW suggsts using oils that meet their specifications (Amsoil 5W40 and Mobile one 0W40). In my F-150 Motorcraft synthetic blend keeps lifters quieter than the previous version and oil change intervals don't seem to be critical.
