Simpson's two part set "Ultimate Tractor Power" is a good overview of all the articulated tractors built worldwide. There is a sizable portion dedicated to each of the major North American builders, as well as the pioneers such as Wagner and Rite.
There was a publication put out by Steiger at or around the time of the buyout by Case that outlined the major components and features of each model going back to the 60's or so. I bought mine on ebay a few years back. It was designed to be an ID guide, but serves well as a Steiger history book.
