Eicher tractors in the 60's had a model that had some type of IVT or CVT. This was long before they sold out to an Indian outfit that makes them now.
Back then they were made in Germany or Switserland or one of those countries, I forget which one.

I know this cause we had one. You had to pedals on the floor, one for fwd, one for rev. Then it had a lever to set max speed with. That's about all I remember of it. I know it went out once and my Dad rebuilt it. We had a front end loader on it and a 3 point fork lift mast on the back.
