Marshfield, WI | Hi Joe, Bought a 1984 new and put 5000 hrs on. Changed most things at least once. With 4 row wide and 150 bu corn, half mile rows were close with the tallest extension. I think we could just about fill a 300 bu wagon in 2 dumps. There was a serial number break before 1984 but not sure of all the changes except for increased sieve speed. Weak spot for me was the clean grain elevator. Kept an extra clean grain cross auger because the elevator couldn't take it away fast enough, thus snapping the auger. By putting in a poly paddle clean grain chain from May-West, it added about 20% capacity to the elevator. When we got Underferth 325 gravity boxes on 11x22 tires, you could hit the auger if too close. swampbuster | |
