Subject: Mudhog/Floater tires

Leesburg, Ohio
Well, I'm about ready to do something I said I would never do...put a Mudhog (if I can locate one) and floater tires on my combine. The no-til ground in our area seems to be holding up, but after trying our conventional tilled ground today, I'm ready to throw in the towel...and we're just getting started on corn! What a mess!

We are still running a 9410 with 30.5's. Our local tire shop has new 66x43's available, and is checking with Unverferth tomorrow for rims. I'm planning to call Mud-Hog factory in the morning, and price a rear axle kit.

Will the 66's fit OK with a 6 row head? Are they much different in height than a 30.5? At 2500 each they're spendy, but less than the 76x50's

Will our 16.9x26 rear tires work OK with the Mudhog? Any issue there I should know about? Anyone have this equipment? Anyone have this equipment for sale???

Thanks. Happy mudding :-(
Ken
