The Far East...of Nebraska. | Took basically the same route from trail ridge across 34, to 76, then 80 2 weeks ago. Corn starts around Greeley and you're right, at least from the road it looks fantastic. The corners weren't fried, I didn't realize that much ground off the side of 76 was irrigated corn. One side it seems the grassland starts, the other has rolling pivots for miles, and it looked good. Nebraska looked good, but it kind of always does from the road.
Corn was just tasseled in the sterling area, so has a ways to go, but they get those cool nights there that we haven't gotten until now.
I'm betting that's some good stuff, not guaranteeing it, but I would say odds are in the favor of it being above average. |
