North Central Iowa | +1 on sonic pre. Put down 5oz this year. After 44 days 100% control. 3 different fields. Sprayed flexstar gt 44th day from planting. Wanted the best possible residual from the flexstar to get close to canopy. Felt like I was wasting money putn down the flexstar gt, but sure as heck wasnt going to leave a check strip! As of today still 100% clean
In this area we all start clean with conventional tillage for most part cause of cold soil temps and nothing germinated yet.
Bean field with most waterhemp in my area is Liberty Link. Jus saying, not to start a debate, jus an observation. Alot of 100% clean roundup beans in this area, and yes we have resistant waterhemp. There are also 100% clean Liberty Link fields.
Start clean, spray dirt, not weeds,that's always the plan anyway lol
