I enjoy growing wheat but we are humid nuff always seem to have too much disease. Now this year was good wheat in the area, some 70+ dry land and 100+ irrigated. That kind of dry land wheat will compete with 125 by corn here. The irrigated at 100 then a 2nd crop will compete w corn.

I like it on dry land, nice rotation and grow very good corn behind it. When its dry I like to plant some, it will take the dry better on less input cost. Also nice to have that income in summer to pay irrigation bills.

In late 90s early 2000s wheat and alfalfa were what kept me going.
