We have about 3000 hrs on the one we bought new in 1990 it was a carry over machine and the one we bought used has about 4500  hrs but we have replaced a lot of things on it and its just as dependable as the lower houred combine we do about a 1200 ac of wheat and 350 of corn every year.  They are almost identically equiped and are just 13 serial numbers apart.  We really like them. When we bought the the one  new in 1990 the JD dealer at Kiowa Kansas said it was the last new 8820 in the United States.
